A young Lakota asks his Grandfather why live had to be so diffucult sometimes.

This was the old man ' s reply:

Grandfather says this :

"In life there is sadeness as well as joy,
loosing as well as winning
falling as well as standing,
hunger as well as plenty,
bad as well as good."

Grandfather doesn't say this to make you dispair
but to teach you reality,
to teach you that live is a journey sometimes walked in light sometimes in shadow.

Grandfather says this :

"You did not ask to be born
but you are here.
You have weaknesses as well as strength.
You have both because in live there are two of everything.
Within you is will to win as well as the willingness to loose.
The heart to feel compassion as well as smallness to be arrogant.
Within you is the way to face live as well as the fear to turn away from it."

Grandfather says this :

"Live can give you strength.
It can come from facing the storms of live
From knowing loss, feeling sadness and heartache
From falling into the depths of grieve.
You must stand up in the storm
You must face the wind and the cold and the darkness.
When the storm blows hard you must stand firm,
for it is not trying to knock you down
it is really trying to teach you to be strong."

Grandfather says this :

"Being strong means taking one more step toward the top of the hill,
no matter how worried you may be.
It means letting the tears flow with the grieve.
It means to keep looking for the answer
though the darkness of dispair is all around you.
It means to clink to hope for one more heartbeat, for one more sunrise
Each step, no matter how difficult, is one more step closer to the top of the hill.
To keep hope alive for one more heartbeat at a time leads to the light of the next sunlight
and the promise of a new day. "

Grandfather says this :

"The weakest step toward the top of the hill,
toward the sunrise, toward hope
is stronger than the fears of storm ."

Grandfather says this :

"Keep going!"

Ein junger Mann fragte seinen Großvater, warum das Leben manchmal so schwierig sein muss. Dies war die Antwort des alten Mannes.

Großvater spricht: „Im Leben gibt es Traurigkeit wie auch Freude, Verlust wie auch Gewinn, Scheitern wie auch Bestehen, Hunger wie auch Überfluss, das Gute wie auch das Böse.

Ich sage das nicht, damit du verzweifelst, sondern um dir die Wirklichkeit zu zeigen. Das Leben ist eine Reise, die manchmal im Licht und manchmal im Schatten unternommen wird.

Großvater spricht:
“Du hast nicht darum gebeten, geboren zu werden, aber du bist hier. Du hast Schwächen und Stärken. Du hast beides, weil das Leben von allem beide Seiten umfasst.

In dir steckt der Wille zum Sieg wie auch der Wille zur Niederlage. In dir gibt es das Herz, das Mitgefühl hat, sowie die Niedrigkeit arrogant zu sein. In dir ist der Wille sich dem Leben zu stellen, wie auch die Angst, die dich vor ihm davonlaufen lässt.“

Großvater spricht:
“Das Leben kann dir Stärke verleihen. Stärke kann aus der Konfrontation mit den Stürmen des Lebens erwachsen, aus der Erfahrung von Verlust, Traurigkeit und Liebeskummer, vom Versinken in den Tiefen der Trauer. Du musst dich im Sturm behaupten. Du musst dem Wind und der Kälte und der Dunkelheit trotzen. Wenn der Sturm heftig weht, musst du standhaft sein, denn er versucht nicht, dich umzublasen, sondern in Wahrheit versucht er, dich Stärke zu lehren.“

Großvater spricht:
“Stark zu sein bedeutet, einen weiteren Schritt in Richtung Gipfel zu tun, wie erschöpft du auch sein magst. Es bedeutet die Tränen durch den Kummer strömen zu lassen.

Es bedeutet, nach einer Antwort zu suchen, auch wenn dich die Dunkelheit der Verzweiflung umgibt. Stark zu sein bedeutet, einen weiteren Herzschlag, einen weiteren Sonnenaufgang an der Hoffnung festzuhalten. Jeder Schritt und sei er noch so schwer, ist ein Schritt näher zum Gipfel.

Die Hoffnung stets einen weiteren Herzschlag am Leben zu erhalten führt zum Licht des nächsten Sonnenaufgangs und zum Versprechen eines neuen Tages.“

Großvater spricht:
“Der schwächste Schritt in Richtung Gipfel, in Richtung Sonnenaufgang, in Richtung Hoffnung ist stärker als der schlimmste Sturm“

Großvater spricht:
"Bleib auf deinem Weg."
